This year's Burning Man theme was "The Future: Hope and Fear" and you can hear that reflected directly in some of the samples that were used, and indirectly in the electro/retro-future sort of feel of the music. The original intention was for it to be experimental and ambient, but that sort of got derailed as I wrote it, and it ended up a bit funkier than that...
